Who goes to heaven?
According to my understanding nobody, especially believers go to heaven. The believer's soul maybe, but the things that make the believer an individual will be erased, things like empathy for example and replaced with only praise for a god.

There is no heaven. There are no gods. When you die, you're done. Now go live the hell out of your one and only real life.

RE: Who goes to heaven?
Heaven is not described very well in the Gospels. It is a kingdom and there is a place for every believer and aparently it is a paradise. We can speculate on what heaven might be like. I personally think we will have greater free will, much like a lucid dream to make of heaven what we want and to continue growing toward our fruition in God. We will not have bodies, we will be like the angels, which is understood to be a kind of spiritual body. Again, I think of it like a dream body we have when we feature in our own dreams.

Interestingly, logically, we would expect there to be no religion and no Bible, since those things only apply here on earth and would not work well with beings who are more able to create the way God creates things. Each person will have their own way to God. I think this is what Jesus meant when he said that in his Father's house are many mansions or rooms.

The people who go to heaven are those who adopt the simplest form of Christianity, which is detailed in Luke 23:39-43. According to Jesus other people are simply destroyed (and that leaves the door open to reincarnation), but those who actively reject Christ will go to hell. Unfortunately, that means most of the atheists in these forums.

Heaven is not described very well in the Disney Mythbook. It is a cartoonland and there is a place for every star-wisher and apparently it is a paradise. We can speculate on what this cartoon might be like. I personally think we will have greater free will, much like a Pixar cartoon to make of cartoonland what we want and to continue growing toward our fruition in Mickey. We will not have bodies; we will be like the Seven Dwarfs, which is understood to be a kind of short cartoon body. Again, I think of it like a cartoon body we have when we feature in our own dreams.

Interestingly, logically, we would expect there to be no Warner Brothers and no Looney Tunes, since those things only apply here on earth and would not work well with beings who are more able to create the way Mickey creates things. Each character will have their own way to Mickey. I think this is what Buzz Lightyear meant when he said that in his Father's house are many mansions or rooms that go to infinity and beyond.

The people who go to Cartoonland are those who adopt the simplest form of Mickanity, which is detailed in Goofy 23:39-43. According to Mickey other people are simply pencil erased (and that leaves the door open to tom and jerry episodes), but those who actively reject Mickey will go to Universal Studios Orlando. Unfortunately, that means most of the Non Mickiest in these forums

What i fear more is hearing arguments such as Egor's rather than eternal suffering and pain.
So technically, for me hell would be heaven.

How does that leave the door open to reincarnation?

Oh - I'm not surprised at all... I'm just surprised he's actually read the bible. Shy

Matthew 11:13-14 -For all the prophets and the law have prophesied until John. And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who was to come.
Matthew 17:10-13 -Then the disciples understood that he had spoken of John the Baptist.

What the crap are you talking about?

I assume you're referring to Matthew 10:28
28 Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

I've heard the arguments for hell not being eternal based on the translation of the word apollumi. Frankly, it's ambiguous, at best, to conclude that a word that means "utterly destroy" or "am perishing" to be construed as the soul being annihilated. The context of the word is emphasizing the horrific nature of hell.

However, what is definitive is what Matthew 18:8 says
8 “If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be cast into the eternal fire

Or Matthew 25:46
46 These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Or 2 Thessalonians 1:9
9 These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

I would even say that the very suggestion that hell isn't eternal for all those not under the blood of Christ is heretical; since it essentially makes Christ's sacrifice moot.

Also, atheists can't reject something they don't believe. So, under your whacked-out system, atheists are simply destroyed; not burning for eternity.

Well it looks like he got one thing right, we are all going to simply be destroyed one day! Big Grin
