I even have the leather holster I used to carry the Versalog on my belt. Smartass

I have 3 or 4 including a K&E and a Pickett.

Is the K&E a Log Log DeciTrig duplex? Drooling I love K&E equipment. I've used their surveying equipment in the past (theodolites and transits), as well as their graph paper. I believe I still have some 3-cycle semi-log graph paper around. Don't need that anymore!

Who can use ---

Vernier calipers or height gauge (NOT dial)???

Operate a mill or lathe using ONLY the vernier dials, and accounting backlash??

I can, and do use all of the above on a regular basis, in my shop... No digital readouts.

.......

I can also send/receive morse code, including numbers and punctuation..... I actually did CW traffic for a living for 5 years...

Big Grin

I have access to a lathe (WW2 surplus Atlas) and mill (Korean knock off of a Tree mill) with vernier readouts, and machine parts when I need them. Belonged to my brother, but his eldest son has them now.

I have used vernier calipers and micrometers, and although it's been quite a few years, i could pick that skill up again relatively quickly.

Same with slide rule. I never had to use one, but my dad had one lying around, along with an instruction book, and I figured it out just because I was curious. That was about 35 years ago, and although I still have that slide rule and book, I haven't done anything with them since then, so I would have to relearn that as well. But it wouldn't take long (didn't take long the first time -- the concept is pretty simple).

Collecting antiques I see.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.
