IIRC he put up a "forest of impaled" in front of the advancing army of the Turkish sultan. As the sultan saw this he ran back to Constantinople/Istanbul asap, and was back there within weeks.

It was the same Sultan who conquered Constantinople 20y earlier.

Theres no better way to say "dont fuck with me" that to send the conqueror of Constantinople back home in need to change his pants.
