Except Paul was not a Gnostic. He was a Jewish apocalypticist.
He presented his (apocalyptic) hero ("Christ") as "the anointed one" in the Jewish tradition of apocalyptic heroes.

RE: Who was Saint Paul?
Lots of interesting stuff in this thread, glad to see it necro'ed.

Demystifying Paul's cult was my final break from Christianity, for some reason I held onto his teachings in the bible after I had rejected so many other things from the bible.

Understanding he was a simple cult leader that pushed his own version of god at odds with the original followers of Jesus helped me to realize what all of this stuff meant- Christianity was a cult.

I agree. Mark has been MIA for while.

Q was a diaper.

We folded him up, put him in a plastic bag, and into the rubbish bin.

Waste disposal can be difficult, but is very satisfying.
