Information Why Flint's water crisis is an omen for what the Trump Administration could do

Gov Rick Snyder came into power in Michigan on a platform that his experience as a businessman coupled with the principles of free enterprise could solve the state's crumbling economy and get it back on track. As part of his cost cutting measures, Snyder appointed two lieutenants to handle Flint's water supply. In a effort to save money, the state switched Flint's water to the Karegnondi Water Authority, drawing from Lake Huron. The change resulted in drinking water contaminated with lead. The cost savings of providing Flint with poisoned drinking water were passed off in the form of tax cuts, largely to wealthy residents of Michigan.

And this is a textbook case of the nadir that GOP fiscal policy is in. It's undying love of capitalism combined with a profanely ignorant understanding of concepts like their own Laffer Curve has led to this point. And it's exactly what a Trump Administration wants: a greedy cabal of oligarchs destroying the nation and its systems, infrastructure, administration, etc. so they can make even more money than they already have.
