And we cannot have this now, can we? He will have no one to worship him, then; no one to toy with like a cat with a mouse, no one to throw into the fiery pit. I get him, though, who doesn't love a good showing of torture porn.

Quote:For Christ's purpose to be fulfilled, there needed to be sin. If God just created us all without sin, He would just be recreating Himself.

So he creates sin, so that afterwards he can impregnate someone with himself, so that he can get killed for something that he created in order to impregnate someone with himself, so that... Hmm, for some unfathomable reason I seem to be getting a severe headache. Serves me right for trying to use my brain, I guess...

Romans 1 and 2 describe this perfectly. There is no one who cannot "detect" God but there are people who can deny what they detect via their free will--their free will to suppress what they know/suspect.
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. Rom 1:18-19

I am certain this notion has come before you previously. There is a difference between KNOW and SUSPECT.

Belief thinks - is skeptical - open to ideas - discussion.

Faith knows - just knows - just knows - no discussion.

You have built your own immutable wall, exploiting the words of your faith to do it; oh, you think it is the word of god who makes you do it but it is you.

On behalf of your faith, I might say how dare you... but I don't believe in your faith. Shy

And reality.

And his own bible.

And his own God.

No, we can't, because we do not live in a world of us (the saved, the chosen, those upon whom god has smiled, the superior) and them (the heathens, the unrepentant, the inferior). We also do not worship someone according to whom : "Anyone who isn't with me opposes me, and anyone who isn't working with me is actually working against me."

We do not have enemies. Adults who think fairy-tales are true, on the other hand, do. And heaps of them, too.

I love it when someone tells me what I am, and am not, capable of. Fortunately your prejudice against those who don't worship your god is nothing more than your own shallow thinking. Someone who "loves his enemies" doesn't tell them their lives are meaningless. That they think love is a weak, biochemical trait. That they're not capable of forgiveness. You contradict yourself at every turn, which is understandable since your god does the same thing.

If Jesus died for our sins, why is there still sin? If man was created from dust, why is there still dust? If Americans came from Europe, why are there still Europeans?

Humans without sin would still be mere humans, not supernatural, omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient deities. Your argument makes little to no sense.

This isn't talking about atheists... out of context much?

Paul is addressing the church in Rome about a specific group of people that had been causing problems.

This isn't all inclusive. Stop picking and choosing Bible verses to make it fit what you want it to say. The letter to the church had a subject... that which Paul was addressing... individual, specific problems to that church and region.

You can't assign verses that are talking about a specific group and say that it applies to everyone else. This is bending scripture to fit a preconceived notion.

Moreover, in Romans 9, Paul makes it very clear that we have no freewill. Likewise, in John, Jesus makes it clear that those that aren't of God can't know the things of God.

The verses you mentioned where about specific unbelievers who had had truth revealed to them by God's choice, but also by God's choice they rejected it in which God gave them over to their wickedness.
