RE: Why did God make so many idiots?
Quote:What that means is that statistically, there is no difference between the protestant populations and there is a difference between the nones. So, there is just as many protestants in prison as one would expect in our population, but fewer nones that should be expected. Indicating that a protestant is no more or less likely that the average person to be incarcerated, while a person claiming "none" is less likely to be incarcerated.
Planet Earth Calling:
Protestant does not equal trusts Jesus because of circumstances of birth or religion
Catholic does not equal trusts Jesus
Saying you're born again does not equal trusts Jesus

An astonishing percentage of people in prison are in for drug and alcohol related or induced offenses. The same percentage of Protestants, Catholics and Atheist in prison as in the general population simply demonstrates the inefficiency of religion or Atheism to change a life.

How about you get your societal facts right if you ask others to get their bible facts right.

It's also noted, there are less "NONE" in most cases, Atheists, in prison than there are in the general population.

BTW, how do you know if it shows an inefficiency of it's ability to change a life if the person is still in prison unable to get out... The numbers that were based on people going back into prison after being released and after making a known belief change would be the only indicator of that factor in relation to life change based on prison.

No True Scotsman fallacy. That one seems to be popular these days.

Nice to see your well documented sources and wealth of evidence again . . . wait . . .

You really haven't got the hang of this yet have you?

I did not give the recidivism rates demonstrating born agains clean up their lives and stay out of prison going forward. So what? We all already know that born agains try to live not only ethical, but moral lives.

I did read the post saying "none" includes Atheists. You've got to be spiritual in prison or they'll shiv you... hehehe... seriously, someone should do a study on how many Atheists become Deists or above in prison! Prison exacerbates the loneliness the lost feel on the outside... Atheism is one, a lonely number... Sad

So... you do have some krazy hierarchy; not good enough to have just god, you gotta have the whole package to be one of the really cool christees.

Well, that entire statement is completely ignorant, not just of atheism but of human behavior entirely. PleaseyJeasy, go back into your tiny, insular world; clearly it's the only place your ridiculous notions might be accepted.

You didn't read that post in its entirety then. I address that very statement. But, are you trying to say that everyone in prison is a believer? Ergo, there are no atheists in prison? Sounds like we have the moral high ground if you are trying to make that argument.

So we have people who listen to Jesus' talk in keeping with the 'born again cult", and try to become moral, so they wont get shived?
Sounds line escapism, rather than any profound change engendered by Jesus.
Rather like those people who continually go to confession, only to commit the same sin over and over again, while feeling absolved..

RE: Why did God make so many idiots?
I figured out the answer to my own question.

After god made up with the devil, between the two of them they decided to lead human beings back to the garden of naked innocence and ignorance, so they could be entertained by the bipeds who could have been gods in their own right but traded the option in for mindless hedonism and equally mindless computer games, reality shows, social media and distrust of anyone with an IQ over 79. But, before they could accomplish this full circle program, they had to launch a massive "dumb them down" campaign, so the herd would not notice what was happening. Now that the program is almost finished, all they have to do is put rings in our nostrils and lead us back to the garden. You have to hand it to them: once they make up their minds about something, they are quite good at making it happen.

The Flood of ancient times turned out to be a bore -- the "Waterless Flood" (as prophesied by Margaret Atwood) promises to be a lot more fun.
