where sin abounds, death follows. not as a punishment persay, but as a result/direct consenquence.

How about where sin doesn't 'abound', people still get sick, how does that work?

show me a place where sin does not aboud.

When you discover where diseases naturally come from, the question of a god becomes imaginary.

The more you know, the less bullshit you tend to believe.

Yeah but many people say evolution is gods plan. So I wonder why did he pick such a plan.

Many people say the world is flat. Saying something doesn't make it true.
Backing up what you say with evidence helps a lot Big Grin

A natural process doesn't have ANY supernatural components.
Everything that exists is nature. Supernatural means outside of nature.
If it's outside of existence by it's very definition, it doesn't exist.

It's not about supernatural it's just that in some versions god starts the big bang with a plan. And then he just observes without intervening. But I wonder how do believers rationalize gods choice of the plan.

Drich you believe in evolution correct?

I don't think they can or do. Some just realized they could no longer deny the obvious science, so accept evolution but try to remain christian. This makes no sense to me. If the creation story (and therefore the garden of eden, adam and eve, and original sin) goes away, then there's no need for the jesus story for atonement of sin. Seems pointless to me to keep holding on to the christian beliefs. It's just a different form of cognitive dissonance to accept evolution and keep trying to hold on to christian beliefs.

What do the Catholics teach now about original sin since they now basically accept evolution?
