RE: Why do we love dogs and cats so much?
I am not liking my cat or dog very much right now.

The cat keeps eating one of my orchids. I keep all of them on the window ledge over the kitchen sink. I have one that has grass like leaves and that is the one he targets. Last night he knocked it over into the sink, into a dirty pan my wife did not wash. The pot cracked and all the bark got full of greasy water and had to be tossed. I have to travel for work today so it will be a couple of days before I can sort it out. I moved the plant, but the new location is not as good as the kitchen window and the only spot the cat can not reach.

My dog is a barker. It totally frustrates me. He barks for every little thing. If someone knocks on the door he goes crazy with barking. Any little unknown noise gets him barking. I have gotten him a bark collar, but the wife takes it off or puts it on him without turning it on.

Yes, that is my couch.

And yes. That is my spot. Dodgy

Awwwww. Heart What kind of doggy is this? He/she is adorable. I'd give him/her a treat but I can't reach through the computer screen.

Thanks for the time you took in your response Anjele. I haven't chosen how I'll go about a pet at some point. I haven't had one for about 15 years. I used to have a dog and 4 iguanas. I'm thinking I want a dog eventually. But I think I will wait at least another year.

I prefer fantasy, but I have to live in reality.
