Why does Christianity sound like woo
Woo meaning silly. This whole thing sounds silly. I mean I am over this religion but even when I hear people talking about it, it sounds silly to me.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...

Because it is silly.

It is an incoherent mishmash of borrowed woo and and absurd rationalizations.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

All religions sound silly, once you get some distance.

If children weren't indoctrinated into religious fantasy as real, nearly no one would buy that crap. Pascal's Wager reigns supreme because children live by wishful thinking and they're too scared to give it up as adults.

It all sounds so much more ridiculous once you step back and take off the god glasses, I agree. Ya don't see it when you're surrounded by christians though.

That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs but what a ship is... what the Black Pearl really is... is freedom. -Jack Sparrow

Jesus' death being some kind of blood sacrifice to himself for our future transgressions against his own laws (Jesus being himself as well as his own daddy).
Jesus coming back from the dead and then disappearing except for coming back every Sunday in the form of Bread flesh and Wine blood so that he can be physically devoured by his Catholic followers.

Nah, Christianity not freaky at all.

Riding with my parents while they play K-Love on the radio always leaves us in awkward silence.

Ignorance is not to be ignored.
