Why is there an app for this?/things that should not be connected to the internet
Woman launches lawsuit against Canadian vibrator maker.

When I first read this headline my first thought was that it was going to be a safety type issue like some electrical fault, or heaven forbid a "Samsung S7" battery type failure (Ouch try not to think about that too much Gasp )

But no... this vibrator has an app that you and/or your partner (who apparently may not be keeping up with their responsibilities Blush ) can download to your/their phone so you can control it remotely. WHAT? WHY?

And of course this lawsuit is about the vibrator maker downloading personal usage information from the app on your phone.

WHO IN THE HELL (maker or consumer) THOUGHT THAT CONNECTING SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO THE INTERNET WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA?

What else are people connecting to internet that shouldn't be? Does the fleshlight also come with WiFi? or Bluetooth? Are toasters, toothbrushes or toilet paper dispensers also being connected to the internet now?

People are nuts. Hobo

There is a saying "oop north" in England, "There's nowt so queer as folks."

Tomorrow is precious, don't ruin it by fouling up today.

Blush

The app is a spectacular idea. Having a device attached to your body that can go off at any time....

Okay no, I'm not having this conversation with the forum. Trust me, this is a wonderful idea.

I think I understand the concept. You're giving your partner a remote control to your erogenous zones and possible climax. I can see why people would be into that. I can also see why you might not want your usage statistics made readily available.

I think it is a delightful application of the technology. I'm not sure why I should care if they have my usage statistics.

I just wanted to let you know that I love you even though you aren't naked right now. Heart

Because no one would ever be tempted to hit the button, to signal your device, while you were in an interview, or visiting grandpa...

The device would never be on at an interview or while visiting grandpa. That's vulgar!

But at the grocery store, out to dinner or at the movies? Perhaps in the library or in class... Consider

Porn is what the internet does. The only thing surprising about this is that it took somebody this long to market the idea.
