RE: Why was today a good day thread
I survived turning 30. We went to my favorite gastropub where they have about 30 craft beers on draft and serve, in my opinion, the best food in Huntsville. They had a guy sing and playing acoustic guitar.

After that we went to a bar that has a speakeasy theme. Which was perfect - I was wearing a red lace dress. Their bottom shelf liquor was Jack and Jim. It's rare to find a place that makes Sazeracs - hell, I can't get a Sazerac at half the bars in NOLA. Some of their cocktails used moonshine. When I went to go stand in line for the ladies, a worker pointed to a door at the end of the hall and said "there's another restroom back there." I opened the door and there was an elevator being guarded by two bouncers. Huh. So I went up to them and asked them what was upstairs - another bar. Cool. So next we went up there, where they had a DJ. I danced my ass off and we had the best damn time. At one point the flaming super cute bartender took me out on the dance floor and we did some swing dancing.

Downstairs the music was remixed 20s/30s, or music with that vibe. For example:

Upstairs it was club music. I have no shame, and I totally got out there and did the Wobble and booty danced to Usher.

Damn I had fun. I needed that. First time it was fun to be me in a really long time.

Yes you!

Nope.
