It's not like WC made me dislike aurora as an admin, I've thought she made a bad admin (due to her inactivity) since day 1.

OK... 'tis bitchslap time!

We all have our faults. We play to our strengths and try to balance out each other's weaknesses.

If you want to criticise Rora, perhaps 'visibility' or maybe misjudging 'urgency' ... she might be first to agree. But 'inactivity' ... nah! no way, studdafugup!

Who do you think steered the new 'suicide' policy / process / procedure / org structure into existence?

This lady is tireless.

When your plans come to fruition and you get your consortia going on your way to world domination, you will learn that the governing body is doing it wrong if it needs to micro-manage.

I never denied that she wasn't active on the mod only forum...
I said she wasn't active on the forum, which she's not.
She's not an active member of this forum, she's an absentee father who occasionally pays child support, at best.

I'm sure the forum team would have managed that fine with or without her.

It's not so much that she's bad at her job (though it is), it's more that others could fill that position better and are probably more deserving because they actually participate in the forum.

I have a lot of gay guy friends (and a couple of lesbian in-laws, yay Maryland for recognizing their union). They tell me "You know, Bob. There's a reason gay men find you attractive." ... Blink ... Blink ... Hobo ... Bechased

I don't find you attractive so don't get any ideas big man.

I'm not sure that's a violation of any rule. Anime porn or Hentai or whatever the teenage fappers are calling it these days seems clearly to cross the line. But emoticons? I personally don't think so.

I said "friends" MuffinStuffin. And how is it you still live? I let that contract with the Maori months ago. I'm starting to think they might not be so trustworthy. Consider

Well a decision's been made.
It is said that we've been heard. But our opinions don't, it seems, matter. You could just knock me over with a feather at this point.

Pretty pissed that my description of politics didn't help anyone see the bigger picture.

Mheh.... gots other stuff to do.

When I want your opinion I'll read your entrails.

We should start a pool. I think it's even odds whether he comes back or not. Either he has already moved on to a new forum or he's been reading and working on his persona to break through his socially inept chrysalis. My money's on he ain't coming back.

Hmm, I didn't think what I wrote would be misinterpreted that much. Of course being called gay and being called a woman are not the same. Just like being called a woman and being called Asian are not the same.

The point is, I'm not gay, I'm not a woman, and I'm not Asian. So please don't call me any of the above. And further (and back to my original question to DLJ), why would being called something that you are not be considered a compliment?

I imagine that a person insistently asking a homosexual person, "You sure you aren't hetero?" wouldn't be considered a compliment, right?

Sorry. I was deliberately misinterpreting you for the sake of a one-liner. As is my wont.

But your question is a good one and deserves a less flippant response.

Speaking as a gay, Asian woman...

Blush Sorry. Did it again. Ehem. In order, then...

"No, you're gay but you just don't realise it" is flattery if interpreted as "we like the way you think... you're one of us."

If my flatmates are having a pout about "men" and how untrustworthy (or whichever adjective is relevant that day) they are, I'll often chip in with "I'm right here, you know". To which the reply is "Oh, no. I don't mean you. You're not a man". Dodgy

I have even been told that I'm Asian (which is definitely a compliment as, to misquote you, Asian > non-Asian (no equal merit! Wink )). This means, I think, that I've found acceptance within / been accepted by a notoriously (and self-confessed) closed culture. Again, it's like saying "You're one of us" or just "You are not quite as horrible as we thought you would be."

Thus Blush flattered.

Plus, I'm incredibly vain. So there's that.

Big Grin
