RE: Will cosmos solve America's Creationism problem
That was rhetorical, right? Creationists have no interest being proved wrong or learning the truth. Courts keep shooting down ID, and despite the precedences, these cases keep popping up, even after the Flying Spaghetti Monster touched everyone of importance in Kansas with his Noodly Appendage. No, Cosmos will help with young minds and fence-sitters, but Creationists will be around as long as religion is alive.

"Solve the problem"?

No.

Reach some people?

We can only hope. But I'd certainly bet on it.

The few creationists who watch are talking about how the spaceship isn't real, and neither are the fossils, or NDT's fro.

I hope it does, but if we are taking bets, that's not something I will put money on it.

"Solve" is such a heavy word. Like the show is gonna be a cure-all. In that sense, no.

But it will certainly help. It'll be another source of valid, scientifically-sound information that will serve to teach whomever watches it with an open mind. Another weapon in our intellectual arsenal.

I doubt it'll "solve" the issue, but no doubt it will get some people on the path to thinking and being inspired and curious about things.
