Words matter in ISIS war. Boston Globe.
Sorry if you have read this article. I posted it on my FB page but forgot to put it here.

Another good article from the Atlantic.

I will call him a liar and a dog here and now.

A lot of times on NPR, they refer to it as "the so called Islamic State". They certainly do not deserve legitimacy.

On the one hand, they don't deserve the legitimacy.

On the other hand, does the rest of Islam HAVE any legitimacy? Or deserve the legitimacy of NOT being associated with these daeschbags?

It's not as if ISIS's existence, activities, or dogmas are entirely divorced from Islam.

Heh. Just this morning, I'd heard several different pronunciations of Daesh. I thought "why not pronounce it 'douche'?".

I am glad this thread was not so out of time.

Obama may call them whatever he wants but ISIS are radical Muslims.
And they are certainly not JV. Obama is delusional.
Instead of destroying them(JV) one year ago Obama plays word games.

May be I am wrong. If ISIS are not believers in God then it makes them atheists.
