My money's on he will make them actually vote.

Neither Trump nor Hugo Chavez *actually* gave or give a flying fuck about you their loyal supporters or anyone else. All they do is say what pleases you so that you vote for them. That's literally all there is to the formula. Because there are currently a bunch of angry people muttering about people "leeching off the system", Trump says he'll fix it. He doesn't have a plan or any clue what the fuck is really a rational response to widepsread poverty, or why the system functions as it does, but he *does* have a convenient bogeyman to pull out and point at as the reason why *you* have a shit life. He says he'll fix it and you chumps cheerfully believe it. It's just propaganda and the fact that you can't see it I'm sure fills him with delight.

Laugh out load I can say the exact same for Clinton, cruz, the other Clinton, both bushes, all the shmucks for the last 30 years at least. These are paid actors, nothing more. They put on an act to get votes, read from scripts, and pander to the lazy. At least trump says what is on his mind.

That's the amusing bit at the end. That people like yourself or darklord think he's different or saying what he feels... when that's entirely been his act as well. He's not being seriously authentic or saying what he feels in any actual way. It's just as the others a calculated manner.

Up until the moment he was elected many thought that the imbecile would never be elected. His diatribes, threats, buffoonery, idiotic ideas were scoffed at and laughed at by the inteligensia.

Much to the surprise and chagrin of everyone but the poor and disenfranchised the socialist was voted in. Here we are sixteen years later and Venezuela doesn’t even have the money to print money! 750% inflation, chaos, riots and most disturbing they are closing down their breweries! No kidding. Mandated minimum wages being increased by 30% almost monthly. His successor Maduro has followed in his footsteps, nationalizing foreign and domestic companies, draining the treasury and all of this in a country that sits on one, if not the biggest, oil supply in the world.

I think Trump is the American version of Hugo Chavez.

When Chavez took office I warned the locals that it smelled a lot like what Castro did with Cuba, slowly placing loyalists in seats of power. The Venezuelan inteligensia laughed at me and told me point blank that Venezuelans would never let that happen, they would fight to the death first. Uh-huh. Most of them fled the country with whatever money they could take before the government clamped down on transferring cash. Populism is a very dangerous position with a megalomaniac in power, and if Trump is anything, he is that.

If you think that Trump is going to raise minimum wages, you are mistaken. He even wants to get rid of the welfare population by making them actually work. Rich people "leech off the system" far more than poor people -- corporations who don't pay taxes and get government bail-outs when they fail, CHURCHES, military contractors, etc. The welfare that bothers you so much is a tiny drop in the huge bucket of the US budget.

You think so? The responses on Twitter are full of people calling her out on her idiocy. Here are two more gems:

She's a shameless liar just like Ted Cruz. Does she really believe that people are too stupid to notice that she changed Trump's position from "deport millions of illegal immigrants" to "deport millions of immigrants"? There's nothing controversial about wanting to enforce the existing immigration laws.

RE: Worrying About a Trump Victory? Don't.
More and more people are saying they won't vote at all. Both republicans and democrats. I see it on facebook, TV, in the supermarket, at the hair dresser - whatever I look at or wherever I go, I hear someone saying that. They don't like the choices and they won't vote.
