Worst Pain Imaginable
After reading the thread about the worst pain we've all endured, how about a thread about the worst pain we can imagine enduring?
Say like, cutting the bottom of your foot while walking barefoot through a salt mine?

Having Caesar Nero mistake me for a Christian and then tie me to a cross in the circus area, then wrap oil soaked cloth around my body, then light me on fire so that I slowly bake to death and then use my baking body as a torch to light the pathways in the circus area.

Yeah ... yeah ... that should do it.

BTW, this is historical fact, and it gave me a nightmare.

How can anyone become an atheist when we are all born with no beliefs in the first place? We are atheists because we were born this way.

Actually, the historicity is seriously in doubt.

Atheism is NOT a Religion. It's A Personal Relationship With Reality!

Why?

Because it only appears in Tacitus..in a passage which no one in the ancient world - pagan or xtian - ever commented upon. A truncated version of some of it appears in a 5th century work called "Chronica" by Sulpicius Severus. But there is none of this christus and pilate shit even there and Severus does not cite Tacitus as a source.

Quote:According to Tacitus, alone, Nero blamed the Christians for the fire in Rome. Annals, XV. This passage is not referred to in any other pagan, nor Christian writings until 400 CE. The Fantastic details of the sufferings of the Christians - dressed in animal hides and torn apart by dogs, crucified, and used as human torches - fits the pornographic masochistic obsession of the early Church. The sordid details of flesh torn and blood copiously shed is repulsive to the modern mind. For some reason the early Church wallowed in graphic descriptions of virgins violated and gored to death by bulls, old men crucified suffering horrific tortures and not to mention the over-fed lions of the Colosseum.

Stubbing your toe on a million coffee table legs.

And then stepping on a lego.

Their thoughts are someone else's opinions,
their lives a mimicry,
their passions a quotation."

Oh yes, Cliff Carington ... somebody nobody takes seriously.

I'm sure we can top that. We'll need to get kinda mad sciency though.

Take a baby or a really young kid, they're not aclimatised to any sensation so pain hits them harder (I totally understand not wanting to finish reading this thought after that so: )
So take the kid and starve them, couple of days should do it as you don't want them physically weaker. Take out their eyes without anesthetic, put a bunch of small cuts in the holes and coat them with a really strong capsicaim product.

Maybe bear strength mace.

You've also restrained them for the period you were starving them for so they've got joint pains, deep muscle aches and bedsores.

Break the bones in their feet and hands, lots of sensory nerves there. The hands and feet are also the most sensitive to heat and cold so alternate between painful but non- dangerous extremes of both on those places.

The other most sensitive parts of our body are our lips and our junk so scarify both of them. Apply more bear mace to the cuts and release some small, hungry animals across the rest of the body to cut and eat that.

Electrocute them (low amperage, high voltage) while all of that is going on.

And get their parents to insult and chastise the kid. Implying that they're the ones doing the terrible stuff to him/ her.

Keep them unconsious for the period of time it takes to set all that up so they awaken to the full sensation without the smaller pains leading up to it and BOOM. Worst pain imaginable hitting them on every front.

(I'm kinda sorry to have written that.)

Soulless mutants of muscle and intent. There are billions of us; hardy, smart and dangerous. Shaped by millions of years of death. We are the definitive alpha predator. We build monsters of fire and stone. We bottled the sun. We nailed our god to a stick.

In man's struggle against the world, bet on the man.
