Well, let's see.

Back in the 16th and 17th centuries, Protestants and Catholics were largely in agreement about what happened after death. They had some differences of opinions about God's sorting system, but the overall picture, that they agreed on. And by and large, they greed that killing was more likely to end you up in the bad place, so you'd think that this "knowledge" (read: shared opinion) would result in less killing.

The Counter-Reformation is one of the bloodiest epochs, per capita, in Western history.

Similarly, Christians and Muslims are in a fair amount of agreement about life after death, in the sense that there is a hell, a good afterlife (heaven/paradise/whatever), and a god that sorts and judges people by some system based on his nature/rules/whims, and that killing is the sort of thing that gets you sorted into the wrong location.

The two groups.... have not exactly gotten along peacefully over the centuries.

Moving eastwards, shared beliefs in an afterlife did not prevent significant wars through Buddhist and Hindu territories. Obviously, going to war despite a shared belief in an afterlife is not a unique quirk of the Abrahamic believers.

So..... why would actually knowing what happened after death -- whatever that might be, from the pearly gates to reincarnation to oblivion and decomposition -- cause a significant change in how human societies play out? Shared belief doesn't do it. For that matter, shared belief that killing results in negative consequences in the afterlife doesn't do it. Why would we think that graduating belief to knowledge would change this?

If nobody has posted from heaven it means they don't have Facebook. And if they don't have Facebook, is it really heaven?

Is that a trick question?

Yes all religions would stop if we knew what happened after after death. For now we don't know.

There is no rational reason, none whatsoever, for believing anything other than annihilation happens.
It is only those who are too cowardly to face the facts who believe in something after death.

All sorts of things happen after you die. They just don't involve you.

We know how memories are stored in healthy brains. When brains are damaged, people don't remember. By what mechanism are you proposing memory works with no brain, since we already know it STOPS working, when brains are damaged or injured ? You prove THAT one, you tricky little trickster, you.

Where did you exist before you were born, or indeed even conceived???

If you find that a silly question - you ought to know, you're asking the same question, just in a different direction on a timeline.

You didn't exist before you were born, and you won' t exist after you die - in spite of all the fairy tales you've been told.

We don't know what happens after death. Most likely heaven.
