I plan to be at my deathbed when a weird scientist will come knocking at my door asking if I'd like to volunteer on a rejuvenating experiment and live forever since as the oldest man alive Smile

I work at killing AND saving myself every day. It's quite the suspense to see which one wins first.

As it is - No I don't want to get Old and Sick and be a burden on anyone. I'd rather be a beautiful comet streaking across humanity and going out in a blaze of glory.

You may bask in my glow.Cool

(too dramatic? awwwww common :monsterSmile

When I want your opinion I'll read your entrails.

RE: Would you rather die young or live to an old age
As I have grown (I don't say "older", since I am a mere 38), I have, like most others, changed my view. The older I get the older I want to get....that is until this past year. Now I think there's a definite balance. I've tasted sickness and pain to my limit. It left a bitterness I will never forget. Now that I know my line, it really does put a sort of "expiration date" on my life. Not necessarily a number, but when I reach my limit again, I will not hesitate (he says in his most macho voice).

So for me, it isn't a simple dichotomy of old or young. It's a tedious, and sometimes terrifying, balancing act between the happiness in your life, and what you're willing to endure to have it. The closer you get to that line, the clearer it becomes.

So many cats, so few good recipes.

Boy do I ever get that concept!

I'm not anti-social. I'm pro-solitude. Sleepy

I want to die suddenly, as in "He never knew what hit him." Don't especially care how old I am when that happens.

Yup, I'm with you on this.

My plan is to drink and smoke my way into oblivion by the time I'm 30.

Yes

Oh dear..... Did you miss your mark? Need some help in your old age?

I will linger until I'm 130.

Most importantly I don't want to die until I make some babies, and they make some grand babies.

Must...spread...seed.

I prefer fantasy, but I have to live in reality.

RE: Would you rather die young or live to an old age
Considering that everyone in my family lives for-freakin-ever despite all the smoking and drinking...I don't think dying young is an option for me unless I get hit by a bus. If I'm even considered young anymore. Smile

I intend to live as long as humanly possible.
I'd like to break the record.
I'd like to have my brain transferred to a machine and live forever.
I'd like to see the Butlerian Jihad and the Rise of the Padishah Empire.
