XHamster trolls NC over LGBT Discrimination Bill

Quite a few other businesses and individuals have stepped up as well. Bruce Springsteen cancelled his shows in NC over the summer and apparently Nags Head has had a huge number of cancellations over the issue, to the point where the city council and Mayor sent a petition to the State Government to overturn the law.

I live in NC, so I tried the XHamster thing. All you have to do is admit you don't back it. (Or in others' cases, lie.) Or just use a VPN. I had to turn my VPN off to test it.

they've altered what it was because they want to make it link to signing petitions or something other than just blankness.

pornhub and youporn should follow suit. Or alternatively just start streaming random porn to any IPs in the intolerant masturbatory hypocritical regions whenever they click on your site.

#sigh

RE: XHamster trolls NC over LGBT Discrimination Bill
I note that "residents with an IP address registered in that state have been blocked from accessing the online sex site XHamster [sic]" and "users who were hoping to view the site's naughty content will see only a blacked-out screen".

I've viewed the content of xHamster, and couldn't see any evidence of truly offensive content and/or illegal content such as bestiality or paedophilia. And of course the State has no right—either constitutional, moral or ethical—to block these sorts of porn sites from the wider public should they choose, voluntarily, to access and view their graphical content.

I'm wondering if the predominantly Southern Baptist religious population of 18.7% (versus the US average of 9.3%) has anything to do with this nonsense?

Additionally, I note that the NC state Constitution preamble says: "We, the people of the State of North Carolina, grateful to Almighty God, the Sovereign Ruler of Nations, for the preservation of the American Union and the existence of our civil, political and religious liberties, and acknowledging our dependence upon Him for the continuance of those blessings to us...".

The North Carolina state constitution also bars elected state office to "any person who shall deny the being of Almighty God".

—Can I ask if they have colour TV or flush toilets in North Carolina?

I'm a creationist... I believe that man created God.

Yes, there is indoor plummin' and them colorized teevees here in NC.

And it should be noted Torcaso v. Watkins overrides any state constitution that has a deity requirement for office.

And again, XHamster doesn't actually ban NC users. I tried it. It just asks if you back the bill.

NC does not block said sites. I don't recall anything that said the state does. I may not love this state, but that's how incorrect information gets spread.
