YHWH - defined.
The short answer? The number 4.

The long answer? Ya got a month or so? Wink

More naive philosophy from cantor - oh, "naive philosophy" does not mean wrong, in case you're wondering. Let's get the official stuff out of the way:

YHWH represents the Hebrew letters "Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh." It was the name God gave for Himself when Moshe inquired of Him. In most modern translations it is usually written "LORD" (in capital letters) or "HaShem" (in the Hebrew Tanach, it means "The Name"). It has been improperly translated "Jehovah," based on a German bastardization of YHWH and "Adonai." The word "Jehovah" does not appear in the Hebrew language and is simply incorrect. YHWH is probably pronounced "Yahweh," and means "I Am That I Am." The implication is that God is completely self-sufficient.

~from Urban Dictionary

Identity is dual-state. This is a simplification of a group of dualities, but one need not subscribe to dualism to see how "dual-state identity" functions. All you gotta do, is make a plan.

That is our dual state. I am John Cantor, being; but I'm not "being," I'm writing - I'm becoming. (I was just "more being" on the deck of the Normandy in ME2, for instance, where I was an "actor" following another's script. It is a general function of integrity that one "follows the script" of one's being - also know as being true to oneself. That is the iridium rule)

So let us sort YHWH. "I" is the being John Cantor, "am" is the state of being a writer rather than Katerina Shepard on the Normandy, let's say.

Note how "am" is less than "I." I get to playing Mass Effect like it is eternal rest, but it is an endothermic system - and the basis of zero-state morality is entropy. So that while I live, I must become "less" - fulfill the moral requirements of writing for all mankind. Which is what I am doing.

All words are the words of God, all words are the work of Man; when a word is "excluded," paradox occurs.

Now we can count. "i" "am" that "i" "am" YHWH is the fourth identity. It is not necessary that atheism adopt YHWH. It is necessary for all to understand the function of identity. And denying YHWH is denying identity.

(That was the "way short" form. Big Grin)

RE: YHWH - defined.
There was an act of 'random' evolution this day:

Morality.
Faith.
Love.
Truth.

Those 4 are a human life, from birth. Life is a ray, from origin. Concepts like "god, evil, death" exist only as concept. We as humans are good, ideally we are only getting better. Love is the answer, truth is the question.

(this ain't me pimping my thread, this is me adding to valuable philosophy as time goes by - feel free to jump in at any time)

Perhaps you are on to something.

On another forum I posted a similar consideration as this OP, where one poster posited that YHWH meant something to locals of that era that can never be adequately translated. I disagree, as I have traveled to the past in conception; and thus consider that humanity's past is accessible to every human mind - ending on the table a week later for balloon angioplasty (I can hope Wink ) was merely the dangerousness of "first time human time traveler."

It would make a most excellent modern internet forum - where avatars debate the past from their own experiences, living it. Wink

RE: YHWH - defined.
This thread is not actually seperate from that thread. Now the mating is complete.

To say YHWH - defined is not to say that YHWH is defined or even capable of being defined. To write as Johnny Cantor is to be limited to this discrete point. Put the two together, and you have this: naive philosophy.

Besides, to say "my definition of YHWH" is weak atheism. The only "weak" around here is the fundamental force such entitled. Tongue

What's that old saying about advanced technology being essentially the same as magic? Dude, you're a Sorcerer.

I bet Adonai Elohim could not have linked threads together so ably.

I prefer "soulless minion of Gwyneth Paltrow;" but, hey, you tell it. Big Grin

(And advanced technology must be magic. I just copied some text right now; and somehow Huh an extra line appeared! Can't explain that! Big Grin)

In my experience, soulless minions often make the best sorcerers.
