Good point. I missed that one Wink

I get to decide what my life looks like, not the other way around.

Grace Hopper - Rear Admiral, computer scientist
Favorite quote: "You don't manage people; you manage things. You lead people."
Hedy Lamarr - actress, inventor - pioneer in radio frequency hopping
Favorite quote: "Any girl can be glamorous. All you have to do is stand still and look stupid."
Neil deGrasse Tyson - astrophysicist

Three people known for intelligence, an ability to explain things in simple terms, and a wicked sense of humor. Thumbsup I would just sit there and listen.

You are allowed to invite any three people you want (only three), alive or dead (but please, no characters from any Holy Books and no religious characters like the Pope Smile).

Who do you invite, and why would you invite them?

Does it strike anyone else as questionable or cruel to bring people back to life only temporarily for a dinner party? That might distract them a bit from intelligent conversation.

I would therefore pick scientists Michael Mann, James Hansen, and Heidi Cullen to discuss climate change research.

Shakespeare, Mae West and Carl Sagan.

I had a little tea party this afternoon at three,
'Twas very small,
Three guests in all,
Just I, Myself and Me.

Myself ate up the sandwiches,
While I drank up the tea,
"Twas I who ate the pie,
And passed the cake to me.

Drinking Beverage

Thank you.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Marcus Aurelius, to talk about stoicism.

Johann Sebastian Bach, for the music.

Beatrix Potter. Love her art, and she knows a thing or two about nature (in particular, she was a mycology expert).

I'm sorry, but your beliefs are much too silly to take seriously. Got anything else we can discuss?

My friend Annette D - I haven't sat across a table from her since we were teenagers - she's a film editor.

Eddie Izzard - he seems quite intelligent and funny - snappy dresser, too.

Hmm... I'm torn between two Brians - May or Cox - both musicians and both scientists. Fuck - this is a tough one. I guess I'll go with Brian May, for now.

I'd like to dine with quite a few people from this forum, actually - but since the guests are limited it to three, I'll stick with those outside these cozy, invisible walls. Shy

Mae West, good one.
