Sour: Duchesse de Bourgogne
I could drink this every day if I had the pockets for it... not only is it a SUPERB sour, it also happens to be one of the easiest drinking ones so it doubles as a great intro to sours. What's particularly awesome about this one is that there is very little difference between tap and bottle. Though keep in mind that I always drink it from a snifter/tulip.

Stout: Samuel Smith Chocolate Stout
Alright, this admittedly isn't the best stout. It's my favorite though because it's exactly what you think it tastes like when you hear "Chocolate Stout." It's incredibly easy to drink and tastes like awesome chocolate milk.

Belgian: Ommegang Abbey Ale
This category is loaded from dubbels to quads. I picked Ommegang Abbey for it's drinkability again. Smooooooth. Great malt character in line with the dubbel style. The flavors are complex, yet so well balanced. It's a pure pleasure to drink this brew. AND IT'S MADE IN NEW YORK!!! Talk about a WTF moment.

Lagunitas IPA. Great session beer. Hoppy, but not over-done. Refreshing and crisp but still has body.

Hands down, the best beer I've ever drunk:

I tried it at the VIP tent of a local Blues & Brews festival. It got my vote and it also won 1st place!

"Railhouse Mastiff Oatmeal Stout is a variation of the sweet stout but has oatmeal added to increase the fullness of body and flavor and to make a more “nutritious” Stout. The result of this mixture is a firm, smooth, silky light body, and a hint of nuttiness in a complex of coffee, chocolate, and roast flavors. Double hopped for bitterness and flavor with US Goldings."

It's got oatmeal AND coffee in it... how cool is that? It's now ok to have beer for breakfast. Who knew? Thumbsup

An absolute must try if you have never tried:

I love their Homo Erectus IPA

But even better if you can get it is their Big Black Homo.

Hard to find but worth the search.

Second only to Firestone Walker.

I've already downed several beers today (well technically yesterday) but this thread is making me want some more. I could really go for a nice heavy stout. But all I have is lager in the fridge Weeping

I had a few today. Westmalle Dubbel was the highlight. So smooth with balanced malt backbone. I would definitely drink this again.

This just may be the best Belgian ale I've ever had... this includes dubbels, trippels, and other quads...
