Your Favorite Everyday Invention
I was thinking about all the great human inventions and innovations that we all take for granted, someone at some point decided to make a new tool or item to help with every day life and now we all have it, we all use it and we wouldn't think about it unless it was suddenly gone.

One of my favorites is the pillow, I read that early pillows were made of stone, porcelain and wood, that sounds very uncomfortable. Eventually we started making them from animal hides and fabrics and fill them up with leaves or feathers. Just the simple idea that when a human is at rest they need something to put their head on and now we all have pillows on our beds!

My current pillow is a down feather variety I got at Costco , it's very soft and firm. I don't know who it was, but whoever first thought to use down as a filling was a genius.

What are your favorite every day useful items you are grateful someone took the time to invent?

The water heater. I don't have to make a fire, boil water, and add it to a bath one kettle or cauldron at a time.

Need to think of a witty signature.

The electrical grid. Normally nothing more than an annoying bill, but let there be an outage and your whole life instantly changes.

Well, harnessing electricity. I know it's pretty basic but without electricity in our homes and everywhere in the modern world we'd be living in shacks and use candles for light. Everything in life is improved by electricity. Everything. We wouldn't have medicines, or cars or sewing machines or the internet or rockets in space or washing machines. Everything we love, everything that makes our life better is a result of electricity.

I wouldn't be alive today if it weren't for electricity. Mass production of penicillin and vaccines would have been very difficult if not impossible without electricity and I would have died from either a childhood disease or the pneumonia I got when I was 8.

So there you have it. My Ode to Electricity. Heart Heart Heart

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.
