I'm not sure that he is my favorite pet ever... but here is my new bud Rocko the dobie

We used the Rosetta Stone Arabic program for a while. One of the very first phrases it taught was "El kelb something something tar erra" "The dog is on the plane." Why they thought that phrase was particularly useful was a mystery to mean. Until now.

That actually did make me laugh out loud.
I will be looking up that exact sentence to use as the caption if I share it anywhere else - haha

This isn't him, but he looks a lot like this. Same colouring and similar patterns.

And I love him.

You?

Go!

She has since passed away, but we had a Yorkie mutt who was about the size of a Jack Russel Terrier (given her size and proportions, I'd bet she was part terrier too). She had those big dark eyes and the supper scruffy, coffee-stained colored hair that made her look like Cewbacca, so we called her Wookie. Easily the best dog name to say over and over again in your best 'doggy' voice.

I'm serous, try it with me.

Wookie! Wookie! Wookie! Wookie! Wookie! Wookie! Tongue

EDIT: Yeah, like the dog mufffs posted, only cross-bred with Chewbacca.

Also, here is the cutest thing I found when I Goolge searched for 'wookie'.

Google translate gave me this: الكلب هو على متن الطائرة.
Isn't that the phrase that is on all those ISIS flags? Now we know.

O/T

Years Decades ago my friend found a booklet on useful phrases in Swahili. The two I remember best are, "I saw my chair falling down," and "Slit the stomach here." Apparently the booklet was designed for early 20th century safari tourists.

We have enough youth. How about looking for the Fountain of Smart?
