Your Pets
What are your pets? Talk about them here.

My pet are my masked lovebirds; Mango and Whisper. They are my babies. Currently I am in Newfoundland for the summer so I haven't seen them in a few weeks. They are my babies and I miss them.

I couldn't find any photos of them on my computer so I will just post a picture of a masked lovebird. Mango looks like the one posted here and Whisper is blue.

RE: Your Pets
I have a few Vietnamese bitches.

Overall they're cute and cuddly when they're well-trained but damnit they leave so much long dark fur (phở) everywhere.

Lovebirds are such clowns! Are yours hand raised?

RE: Your Pets
We recently adopted the rescue dog we were fostering.

He is a mini schnauzer named Skipper

We got Mango because one of my dad's co-workers had lovebirds and they unexpectedly hatched eggs. Only one was successful, which was Mango. The guy didn't want more than 2 lovebirds, so he offered Mango to my dad for free and the cage for $50. I think Mango might be somewhat hand raised, I'm not really sure how they raised him. He is fearless of humans, but really doesn't like being touched and will bite really hard if you try. Whisper we found in a pet store, and was really scared and sad looking with only one perch of one size in the entire little cage she was in. She is quite scared of people and overall quite timid.

Anyway, to be short Mango probably is and Whisper isn't.

Naw, if Mango was hand raised he would be cuddly with you. He just had a lot of exposure to people while growing up, while Whisper is raised in a large aviary with no human interaction. They are lucky to have you, and your comment about the perch shows that you bothered to learn about them... good for you! (and them!) Thumbsup

If you bring the cage down to just below your mouth level, they will get tamer in time... if it's above your head they will stay as they are.

Small, gliding marsupials. These gals.

RE: Your Pets
Aw the adorableness of your sugar gliders flew in my general direction and crash landed into my heart!

My pets consist of two boxers and a walker hound that I often refer to as "the long nosed freak". Just because we've had the boxers for like 5 or 6 years and we've only had her for like 2 now so the longer snout skill kind of looks weird to me.
