RE: Your favorite thing
Oh can I have two favourite things?
Because I already said my PC
but I realize how much I love all my baking and candy making stuff.

My laptop, it keeps me connected to the world.

I get to talk about my guitar? Yippiee!

Yeah the pickguard is a solid piece of sapele wood. I think it looks great and also feels nice and reassuring under my picking hand.

I secured the pick holder by just drilling the input jack screw right through the bottom of it. Not exactly elegant, but VERY functional.

My garden.

It nourishes my family with delicious organic produce, supports the native bees and wildlife, and provides me with so much joy from nurturing/tending.

I also think it is the closest humans get to watching a miracle unfold before our eyes. I plant a seed the size of half a grain of rice and it grows within a span of 60 days into a large, fragrant, and beautiful green plant that gives us food. Pretty freaking amazing!

I have a sword that was custom forged for me and she is a thing of beauty. Damascus twist patterning, fantastic balance, silver inlay all down the handle, light as a goddamn feather sharp enough to shave. Only ever held it three times, the first being when it was given to me by my now passed wife as a wedding gift.

It holds more value to me than everything else I own combined.

When valour preys on reason, it eats the sword it fights with.
