anyone else creeped out by dolls?
maybe it was all the horror movies I watched while growing up, who knows? But dolls creep me out. Today on a neighborhood sale page someone posted a picture of the doll they were selling, it looked so real, I started to wonder if they were actually trying to sell an infant. Ohmy

I found the brand name, check them out

Yes, creepy.
Putting one of those in a stroller and pushing it into a busy street could be hours of fun though. Tongue

I'm more creeped out by the kind of people who buy them...

That reminded me of this:

Well, looks like I won't be getting any sleep tonight.

If we came from dust, then why is there still dust?

There are women who collect them and treat them like real infants. They push them around in baby carriages and change their diapers. These women are fucked up in the head. They need therapy. Really deep, long term therapy, on top of meds.

Yuck.

When my daughter was about 11 and 12 she had a friend whose mother collected dolls and had them all over the house. She was super-duper christian. I couldn't stand the woman.

My daughter and her son grew apart, thankfully, and I didn't have to go over to her house and see those dolls. Plus, I didn't have to deal this that icky, doll collecting women.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

This one really creeped me out. I know they usually try to make him look pleasant but I think they made him look more like David Crosby after a bender.

Not once I get them inflated.

Dolls in general don't creep me out until you get past a point of looking so realistic. Uncanny valley and what not.

Also, there are dolls that people deliberately make look creepy, but I'd say they're creepy more because of the effort put into them and not just because they're dolls.

I'm not but my sister is terrified of those ventriloquist dummies. She says it's the eyes. On a related note I learned to impersonate these dummies. Smile it was great!
