1. Striding and swaggering rootlessness without end. The precious flow of life.
2. one should fear sweet a blood stained flower.

I think someone who isn't aware of germ theory would have a tough time relating to today's voters.

Kidding aside, who knows. But, conservatives worship Reagan and I doubt he could win the Republican primary today. Too liberal.

Nope. Too smart, too honest, and not scummy enough.

They were plenty scummy. Half of them were slave owners.

As they were, no. If they were born and also raised in our time and inherited our culture as well, then I suppose they'd have just as much chance as anyone else.

And to that end, if you put our politicians back in their time, they'd probably get themselves burned at the stake or something.

In my opinion, some of them might've won nominations from different parties than they ran under, in their time. Winning the general election is a whole different story. Some may have compromised their positions for a broader base, others not so much.

I'd personally still vote for John Adams cause I'm all about duels on the Whitehouse lawn.

I too would be pro-duels on the whitehouse lawn. What a fantastic way to nominate a president. The one left standing wins. Use those old timely pistols and everything.

Clearly you've never tried a flintlock pistol.....
They're simply not very effective. Misfires are common, and they lack power and accuracy.

I'd be in favor of politicians dueling.

Let's clean up Washington.......
