I find it really hard not to hate the people who can bring themselves to punish this girl. I hope reason wins out and they let this girl go and leave her alone.

If anything this petition helps to remind the world how despicable a religious belief can be and perhaps plant a seed of truly examining one's own religion.

I don't find it hard to not hate people who treat a child like that because I simply don't try Smile.

Best and worst of Ferdinand .....
Best
Ferdinand: We don't really say 'theist' in Alabama. Here, you're either a Christian, or you're from Afghanistan and we fucking hate you.
Worst
Ferdinand: Everyone from British is so, like, fucking retarded.

Indeed, it is. It is an unthinking, emotionally-, even hysteria-induced, revenge-motivated disproportionate knee-jerk reflex that does not solve the problem and creates a false sense of security.

Update:

Quote:A Muslim cleric is accused of stashing pages of a Koran in a Christian girl’s bag to make it seem like she burned the Islamic holy book, a surprising twist in a case that caused an international outcry over the country’s strict blasphemy laws.

Curiouser and curiouser . . .

Religious disputes are like arguments in a madhouse over which inmate really is Napoleon.
