I've never liked Rap or Hip-Hop...

Rock, Blues and Folk are my genres... Mix 'em up however you like, I don't mind.

I was even told I should like rap music because I was black. I perfer metallica over meek mills, AC-DC over 2 chains, Slayer over drake, and black sabboth over lil wayne.

Listen dude, I'm right with you, only what you mention here is shitty modern rap, which is childfriendly and regards ONLY bitches, cribs and cars. Rap from the 80's and early 90's is complex storytelling, even the gangsta rap stuff, since the writers lived right next to the topic of the songs. I suggest you go back to 2005 and play some San Andreas. Get in a car and switch over to Radio Los Santos and enjoy:

The truth is, music is music and I don't see how someone can genuinely hate an entire genre of music. There must be at least ONE rap song that you like! Lol. But I've always found it interesting how rap and metal never co-existed. They are both opposite sides of the same coin. Artists from both genre's usually come from urban city settings, both are anti-authoritarian, and you can't understand anything either of them are saying.

Have you listened to Ice T with Body Count?

That's mix from a real rappers, not just a pop musician, playing metal.

I like rap, as long as put "your hands in the air" is not mentioned and they don't say their own name.

Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I".

Rap is poetry.

For no matter how much I use these symbols, to describe symptoms of my existence.
You are your own emphasis.
So I say nothing.

RE: hating rap and loving metal.
I'm not much of a fan of Rap.
Just spoken words
Generally with a message of hate especially against police and with lots of "Nigger" and "Mother fucker".
Pretty boring shit!

But if done as an accompaniment it can be OK.
Within Temptation's And We Run with XZibit is fantastic.

The Nativity In Black cover of Iron Man is decent.
But probably only good for me cause I love the original song and like hearing things in different ways
Iron Man

And the excellent Linkin Park
In the end
