After which, I would suggest as many recent, history based threads as possible should be moved into the new sub-forum to begin it's colonization and production.

Seems like a fairly simple solution to this whole mess.

This is how internet forums have worked since they were invented. I see no need to alter the process. It has worked well so far.

Well then talk to the mods, you having a gwynnies forum has no bearing on having a history forum.

Nah, just move his thread to the conspiracy forum.

RE: history subforum?
My grandfather was in WW2. D-Day plus one. He was with Patton's whatever it's called and trained in the UK. I guess a bit before the invasion there was a huge explosion and people died...That's why he and his regiment was held back a day...They had decided that they needed an extra day. He was in the battle of Bastogne and of course the whole battle of the bulge...

He did say it was awful and he had no desire to ever go back to anywhere in Europe. That said, he did get his Dday pin and others...

I've got a weird map like thing..made of cloth...One side is (I think) is germany. The other side is N africa...Russia and China or something...weird.

I have it in a box and haven't looked at it in a while. I should probably move it somewhere else.

I know he tried to get his service record from the military but there had been a fire or something and his and tons of other people's were destroyed.
