RE: isn't this a bit messed up
If they do this, I am so going to break out all my old sytems and not buy anything else until they stop the greed. I have quite the collection and could potentially entertain myself for years, especially with how much housework I have. And I also have a wife to spend my time with. They will officially ruin the video game market, due to their greed.

RE: isn't this a bit messed up
Also I see the ground work being laid for this kind of thing already. I made the mistake of getting an android phone. The damn thing won't let me play games unless I have an active internet connection and let them not only see what I am playing but when and where as well. This is a violation of privacy, but useful I guess. I watch my porn on my computer, because I can use peerblock to make sure google doesn't know what I am into. Not that it is bad or anything, I just don't feel it is their business. It probably won't be long before I get charged on my phone bill every time I play one of the games, even if over a wifi connection.

RE: isn't this a bit messed up
I don't have much of a problem with companies cracking down on second hand games. My problem is that such decisions are made by the publishers, and not the game developers.

RE: isn't this a bit messed up
If this kind of crap goes through.....I'm going to start my own pirating ring and wear a mask so no one knows who the hell I am. I will become a symbol of justice for all gamers!
I will continue to define the world as I see fit. That will not change. |
