literary gods vs fan devils and corperiate cyborgs
basically I have been muling over a question. one that may rock the socks of your brain if you let it.. you see I want to know who has the last say in a fictional universe. you would normally think the writer.{literary god} this would make most since being they are the one that has the last say or do o they. there are times I question that. for example with the latest hello kitty problem. you see the creator of hello kitty made sure to let people know that hello kitty is a human. despite this being contrary to the fact. also there are times that the fans overwhelmingly chance a series like they did between ff8 and disidia. then you get the corporate people tht can say we'd rather publish something else. so what do you think. who gets final word in this jumble or do the series live on there own as a life force,

Quite the interesting way to set up the problem of: Does the artist have final say in creating a work of art/media/literature or does the observer/fan interpretation and continuation have just as much value.

Props for that one... I'll almost always stick with the fan devils for this, and Rinoa is Ultimecia

Stephen King insists that his characters write the stories.
He's just the medium they use to tell it.

This whole topic reminds me of Stephen King's Misery, in which a wacko fan kidnaps a writer and forces him to write to her demands...
