RE: measuring tapes
This is so useful. Next time I'm at Costco I'll pick up a couple of those ten-paks of tape measures they always have right next to 12-paks of ball-peen hammers (that I bought a case of awhile back but still haven't used up) and stash them in all the rooms as remote light switch activators for all the times you get all the way into a dark room before remembering to hit the switch. I buy them at garage sales. I recently picked up 4 twelve foot Lufkins - all appear new -- for 25 cents each....

Buy em, break em, throw them away.....

Fix 'em??? For 25 cents???

Not likely..

I need various kinds of measuring tapes for various jobs I do. I've never invested in a laser measuring device. If I bought one I'd lose it within a week but I'm still tempted to get one.

I need a telescoping measuring stick like this.

Me and my crazy measuring devices. I've got about 12 different measuring tapes.

A good 25' kobalt works fine. Has a flaired end for easier hooking and magnet for metal studs. Anything less than a 25'er is useless for a tradesman (carpenter). Probably sufficient for the do it yourselfers around the house though.

Finally, a topic where Pops is eminently qualified. Big Grin
