RE: need some info- keep getting woo sites when I google
I Googled "healthy chlorine level in water" and got good results.

1. EPA
2. WHO
3. CDC

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

RE: need some info- keep getting woo sites when I google
this is the email I just received from the county.
Quote:The results of the bacteria/chlorine test we did came to my office just after I left yesterday. As you can see there was no evidence of bacteriological contamination in your water supply. SC DHEC regulations call for a minimum of 0.5 PPM (mg/l) of chlorine and the sample showed a level of 0.97 which is a very safe level to maintain. The other two samples which were taken from addresses quite a distance from your home showed similar results.

This year has had higher than normal calls about taste and odor. It is apparently influenced by weather conditions such as less rainfall and high humidity. I wish I had a ready answer but I don't. Judging by the amount of articles online and in water publications taste and odor is a widespread issue. Thank you again for your contact and please keep me informed if there is any change in the situation.

that seems like a high amount of chlorine, doesnt it?

now to figure out our filtering options.
