ruminations on the word spirit
The word spirit is derived from the latin spiritus, meaning breath.Breath, as we know, is hot air. Thus we may conclude that to be spiritual means to have properties of hot air, such as having one's head in the clouds. To conspire would mean making hot air together. To be inspired would make one filled with spirit, or to be full of hot air.

I always knew that I was an inspirational person. Big Grin

Also, to harbor a bad spirit is to need a breath mint. Or something.

Sometimes, when I'm lying in bed, I feel inspired, that is, full of hot air. When I share that hot air with my significant other, I usually get kicked out of bed. It's a risk I take when expressing spiritual profundities.
