If you would know nothing about God it would be identical to saying "I believe in gsdhgfshdg" you can't believe in gsdhgfshdg because you have no idea what it is.
But you do believe in God. Which means you put in this word some characteristics that give this word an identity. I want to know what those characteristics are.

I believe something created the universe. I don't know what that something is.

Do you know anything about God except that it created the universe?

A line of inquiry based on a flawed assumption will make the conclusions of that inquiry meaningless.

Why do you believe that something created the universe?

I don't 'know' that it did, it's just a hunch.

Why do you believe that something created the universe?

I assume causation.

So you have no idea what it is. It might be a mindless force?
Because by created people usually imply a creator. A thinking agent.

Perhaps.
