RE: [split] Climate Change - General Discussion
To give credit where it's due, I had no idea that climatology and nutritionism were such closely related disciplines.

It occurred to me that I had forgotten several million anecdotes, three in my own family. About 30 million to be exact. All anecdotes. Or what most people call them, diabetics. You might have heard about them. I know, I know, you do not care. Well, I do. And I suspect there are one or two members who are diabetic.

I overheard the Type 1 talking about his breakfast, which included an English muffin. I mentioned my breakfast – no bread. His eyes lit up and told me that his physician told him to eat 40g of carbohydrate at each meal (he does eat bacon and eggs, Praise the Lord). Something about getting his metabolism going. So, the equivalent to nine pieces of bread per day. What the F?! I eat zero pieces per day, even though I am not diabetic.

Go to the American Diabetes Association website and use the F-word as liberally as your little heart desires. Actually, they go up to the equivalent of 12 pieces of bread per day. 4380 pieces per year! And I am the asshole. I should be using the F-word myself. All this because of that effing 60 year anecdote. And of course, this does not make you angry at all, does it? Why? Let me take a wild guess. Because government fear mongering, dressed up as science, was the source of all this BS. Good effing God. And you have a problem with me laughing at secular religion?

I repeat. That simple recommendation is the result of that little 60 year anecdote of saturated animal fat fear mongering started in the 1950s and made official “science” by Congress in the 1970s. Political Science! Laugh.

Yes, recommend 12 pieces of bread to the person who must then inject insulin to control the increase in blood glucose from the recommended bread. F! Now, the federal government, the American Diabetes Association, American Medical Association, National Academy of Sciences, American Association for the Advancement of Science all support this effing nonsense. And if your portfolio contains Big Pharma stock, you love it as well. Unethical. Let me check my 1977 Roget’s for unethical. Dishonest, dishonorable; conscienceless, unconscionable, shameless, without remorse, unscrupulous, unprincipled, immoral, amoral; corrupt, corrupted, rotten; crooked, criminal, felonious, fraudulent. It goes on, but I think you get my point. Take your pick, or pick them all.

See, even you cannot defend the indefensible. That is why you reduce it to anecdote status. You have no choice. 60 years of Congress supported pseudoscience (we both know that it is another F-word) that you must somehow ignore, dismiss or pray to God on a nightly basis that it just goes away. Or better yet, point out to someone who brings it up that they know nothing about science. That’s the ticket!

It did not make sense that you had no response to my sobbing niece confronted by the public school minister or me being told “We are not going to rock the boat” at the very prestigious and revered National Institutes of Effing Health. More totally meaningless, effing anecdotes.

Now you are going to tell me that 30 million diabetics are anecdotes as well. Again. Too effing funny. Do you understand yet why I laugh? Or are you going to do what effing politicians do and try to weasel your way out? Which is it? Let me see. Admit the government corruption of science? Insist that the diabetics are indeed anecdotes? Pray to God for guidance?

It also occurred to me that Richard Nikoley (Free the Animal), an actual, honest thinking atheist, who has nothing good to say about what the federal government has done to the American diet, also dismisses the anthropogenic global warming business. Why should it be any different than nutrition pseudoscience? Tom Naugton also laughs at it. They both know that it is just a repeat of history. They know it. Without politicians, from both effing parties, it never would have gotten off the ground. But, like nutrition, it was just to tasty to ignore. Well, and pressure from little whining scientists. And to list a bunch of scientific societies is as meaningless as my partial list above. Means absolutely nothing. Effing nothing.

And there is your dilemma, in a very nice little nutshell. In order to support the climate community, you have no choice but to ignore that 60 year embarrassment.

This is why my socialist sisters are such sourpusses. My brother and I can laugh, mock and ridicule American science while they just sit there with sour faces or walk away. They, too, cannot defend the indefensible. They have not yet grown mature enough to yell R-rated movie language to our faces.

Thank you. And God Bless America.

How in God’s name does he stay in such an upbeat mood after we have destroyed him? Utterly destroyed. Reduced to a pile of sniveling dog feces. Here is a hint. Only Jesus knows. Laf. Oh, that is short for Laugh, from Nikoley, who also gave me doG.

Christ Walter will you ever post on topic? I don't give a flying fuck about diabetics anonymous or whatever the fuck story you're telling now. It's not relevant to the discussion of climate science.

Walter: "Climate change is bullshit. I know this because the government tells lies"
Everyone else: "Show us evidence"
Walter: "Hahahaha. I'm too clever for you. Me and my bro saw through the nutrition industry in the 1970s. Stop evading you fools and admit that I'm right".

It's ... kind of amazing how far up your rectum you have to be, to not recognise what a fucking fool you are making of yourself. To think that you're "winning" Rolleyes

We'll love you just the way you are

Your 6th grade child comes home from my science class with a copy of Crichton’s Cal Tech lecture.

You bring up Google and search for pitchforks and torches.

Come on! Lighten up!

Could we split this thread into two again and move all of Walter's off topic posts on nutrition to their very own thread? Then he can rant to himself about nutrition studies from the 70's and the regular climate conspiracy nuts can discuss climate conspiracy in this thread?

If you can translate as well, that'd be smashing. Big Grin

There are some, about 3% of the adult population, who do get it.

So, that highly annoying 60 year anecdote, brought to us by American Science at its best, is simply dismissed. But, this chapter of Political Science is honest to God real. Really real.

Too funny.

Science fails when adopting a creed.

I can't translate Walter's bullshit because it's too stupid. It's like trying to explain to someone that red isn't a taste
