But I have yet to see a dog breed anything other than a dog. As a STUDENT (I do not claim to be a authority) of biology natural selection is something I use and deal with on the daily. So lets establish that natural selection is a god damn fact. But evolution as a whole is a theory. Nothing more. Natural selction explains phenotype differences but thats about it.....

Then what you believe is that there is some limit to phenotypic change? Please elucidate the mechanism that limits change.

No, it is a very precise statement. For example, scientists Neil Shubin, Ted Daeschler, and Farish A. Jenkins, Jr. predicted that fossils of a transitional tetrapod could be found in geological formations of a certain age.

They identified some candidate locations, went searching, and found it.

You mean besides the Biblical accounts of creation, talking snakes, arks and global floods, Exodus, the conquest of Canaan, walking on water and raising the dead, right?

Dr. Neil Shubin, one of the people actually involved with discovering Tiktaalik.

Excellent! That was definitely worth three hours of my life.

Cheers.

Your Inner Fish is a great book. Shubin's explaination on the mechanisms concerning how we got from fins to feet is simple enough for anyone to grasp. Well, anyone without a preexisting bias for goddidit anyway.

A better question would be how the bible matches any evidence we have. As far as I can see, it doesn't in any meaningful way.

The Bible is not true by default. Therein lies your fatal flaw, the core of your presupposition. It is not up to us to disprove the Bible, it's up to those positing a positive belief in the truthfulness of the Bible to substantiate those claims. If you think the Bible is true, it's up to you to provide evidence in favor of that position; it's not the job of the skeptic to preemptively disprove your position.

Once again: Your beliefs are not true by default.
Lol this is an atheistic forum would I not be the skeptic? Remember I came to you looking for answers not the other way around. If it had been you EK going to a christian forum looking for answers than yes you would have been the skeptic but alas it is not so. Now lets start with creationism. How does the bible clash with any theory backed up with evidence about how everything began?

Genesis 2:7
Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

We're not made of dust.

Genesis 2:19
Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky.

Animals are not made out of dust, they were here long before humans.

Genesis 20-22
But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

Human females were not formed from a man's rib. If the animals were created with male/female pairs, then why didn't god do that originally with Adam? Because it's a silly myth and the ancient priests are showing their ignorance of science.

It's all derived from Babylonian/Sumerian mythology, the Sumerian god Enki is the god you worship.

Gods derive their power from post-hoc rationalizations. -The Inquisition

Using the supernatural to explain events in your life is a failure of the intellect to comprehend the world around you. -The Inquisition
