I find it funny that you automatically assume A2 will be making fallacies in his arguments. That amuses me.

He is the one who assumes there will be a need to go back and fix his own mistakes.

Hey, for a laugh, go back and read posts #1 to #5 of this thread.
Cool

I also find it funny that you respond to that and not previous attempts at communication to gain specification.

Going to your comment; That is irrelevant, ones desire to be able to go back and fix a mistake, does not follow from a comment about humour from an a priori assumption of impending fallacies.

RE: [split] Debating Lion IRC
All Lion seems interested in is debating about debating. I don't understand why lion is afraid to just go into the boxing ring and just debate A2 without all the silly rules and word-count crap. In this thread it's a free-for-all and anyone can post -- it's too easy for Lion to miss important points (since he likes to evade giving real answers in the place of cheeky remarks)...in the boxing ring its just one on one....

But whatever....

My idea is control. A metric fuck-tonne of theists tend to not like debating unless they have control, that way they unleash all their dirty tactics. WLC for instance will fire off a boat load of irrelevant points in his intro, and use all of them not being countered as a weapon.

I don't find the rules proposed to be too onerous. I also can't really understand the insistence on the right to edit old posts. You have got the ability because that's how the forum is configured, so ideally I think A2's idea of notification of edits is not a bad thing, and as long as they were minor I wouldn't have an issue, but FFS just agree and get started Wink Lion if there is a major edit which changes the apparent thrust of the argument / makes the replies look ridiculous you can always point and shout loudly Smile Really I wish we didn't have an edit button at all... but that's just me, and to be fair I hate making typos and I frequently notice one just after I post, so I do use it...

I use my phone and iPad, so I type with my thumbs and autocorrect hates me. Can't imagine not being able to go back and fix my words. Sometimes I also think faster than my thumbs can tap letters...

But ya I agree they should just agree on a topic and just debate it. It ends when they run out of points to make...

Well, you do think faster than your thumbs can type, more you know.

Wink True....and autocorrect still hates me. Just sent a text asking my husband if he's having fun training his boobs...when I meant to say "noobs".
