Does it speaks volumes about your abject ignorance and our patience for it having run out some time ago? Quite...

We resort to name calling because logic, reason, and evidence have all failed to sink in. So now we're content to just light you on fire and watch you burn. 50+ pages and what do you have to show for it? Complaining that we make fun of you because you have done nothing in 50+ pages. Go cry some more...

We might as well be talking chinese for all he comprehends.

Whose pardon are you asking? I thought abusive ad homs @ fellow members was completely OK at this forum. Thumbsup

Some of the ones I've seen so far are actually quite funny. I have to try hard not to laugh.
Your bravado would be commendable if you could back up your bullshit with some facts. Have you done any research about the long ending in Mark? Nope. It's easier to just believe what you get told in church, isn't it?

They are nothing more than abusive ad hominems.

And if that is how you guys roll, so be it. *shrug*

Oh sure, you can CLAIM . that the personal insult you hurled isnt really some lame attempt influence opinion and garner mob-mentality support in relation to a debate/disagreement you are having in the court of public opinion, but not everyone is going to believe you. No

Some people (lurkers, guests) are going to wonder why you need to resort to name-calling. (An emotional response, not an intellectual response)
...especially since you claim to have the superior rationality and intellectual maturity. Consider

See?

From http://thesaurus.com/browse/pardon
Quote:Pardon

Part of Speech: noun

Definition: forgiveness

Synonyms: absolution, acquittal, allowance, amnesty, anchor, clemency, commute, conciliation, condonation, discharge, exculpation, excuse, exoneration, forbearance, freeing, grace, indemnification, indemnity, indulgence, justification, kindness, lifeboat, lifesaver, mercy, release, remission, reprieve, vindication

Notes: a pardon is the act of excusing a mistake or offense; an excuse is an explanation offered to justify or obtain forgiveness

Antonyms: chastisement, condemnation, damning, ostracization, penalty, punishment

Nice try at more deflection. The point is you have failed to respond to the arguments, rationally, and now are attempting to appear to be morally "superior", which is the usual way this goes. Stick to the point, and answer the questions. You have pages and pages of unanswered points you have failed to respond to.

How about starting with refuting Dr. McDonald's, (Professor of New Testament at Clairmont) hypothesis : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_MacDonald,
and explain how and why the earliest versions of Mark had no resurrection, which you can see for yourself in the Codex Vaticanus, and the Codex Sainiticus.

Then you can work on an explanation for why, with BETTER EVIDENCCE, you don't believe the Salem witches were really witches.

So does your failure to respond to a multitude of refutations of both the Kalam Cosmological argument as well as those concerning your presentation of what you consider evidence for the resurrection of Christ.

RE: [split] Debating Lion IRC
Another question Mr Lion Smile

If some guy today was filmed being crucified, say for terrorism, then later rose from the dead, would you conclude from this that God and the Bible were real truth ? I know personally I'd suspect a trick. So why does being 2000 years old suddenly make resurrection *more* compelling evidence for God ?

In other words, does it actually matter whether or not some guy did in fact rise from the dead, if this does not lend credence to the God hypothesis in any way ?

So to reiterate:
If someone rose from the dead today and said "because of this you should be Hindu", would you not suspect a trick ?
Would you follow them ?

Why is 2000 year old dodgy book evidence enough that this is clearly not a trick 2000 years ago ?

And finally, how does this relate in any way to God ?

This is not an attempt at deflection Bucky Ball.
I didn't raise the issue of ad hom abuse - Mark Fulton did.
I actually CAN accept that gratuitous recreational insults are part of everyday life at AvT fora like this place.

@morondog (a polite, well-mannered skeptic)
In your hypothetical example did the "terrorist" willingly surrender to the crucifixion? And was their resurrection believed by both atheist and theist alike?

So what you're saying is, you're just a sheep that will go along with whatever the majority accepts? Okay, good to know that's your selected avenue for decision making. Not thinking for yourself, just followings others.
