[split] When Will Science End?

When will science end?

How long will it be until the scientists hold a press conference to announce that they've learned it all, and are thus closing up shop?

A related question might be, is the pace of knowledge development accelerating? Should we expect to learn more each century than we learned in the previous century?

If you answer that 1) knowledge development will continue for a long time and 2) probably at an ever accelerating rate....

What does that say about what we know today?

Are we yet in a position to offer meaningful theories, let alone conclusions, about the kinds of issues addressed by the debate between religion and atheism?

Does anybody on any side really have a clue what we're talking about? Or do we just love talking?

Ok, your turn, go!

Science will end when humankind ends, just like everything else will end.

Is that when philosophical naturalism is no longer correct? Smile

You're like Han solo always stroking his own wookie.

Still laughing at your rationale.

But seriously how is philosiphical naturalism correct when there are no ways to obtain any evidence once we're gone? dumbarse.

no one will exist so there won't be anything natural anymore.

i love your c onflation with our material reality vs reality as it is.

What? That makes no sense. None.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

You don't understand it.

The 'natural' is a human construct. Without us the natural no longer exists.

Because he said so, goddammit! Rolleyes

We've already established that he rejects the use of evidence, but he never elaborated on his non-evidence based epistemology. So chalk it up to magical thinking! Which is why I'm not even bothering with attempting to reply to his garbled bullshit. I'll treat him just like I did Blowjob before him, drowning him under a pile of memes.
