stupidity in the news
This type of stuff just turns my stomach, I wish I could have been there and given the opportunity to speak. I would have mopped the floor with him.

RE: stupidity in the news
Things can't come from nothing blah blah but God can come from nothing and blah blah let's never even question this because we're taking our stance as a given blah blah and...and...[Image: indifferent0023.gif] I really wish they'd at least come up with new arguments.

RE: stupidity in the news
Gross misrepresentation. Atheists don't claim to know how the universe began, only what happened almost immediately after it did. There are no theories (outside of string theory maybe) that provide an explanation for the big bang, only ones that describe its effects.

As soon as Louie Gohmert, or anybody else, wants to make a strong argument for god creating the universe, as always, we are all ears. I am pretty comfortable saying I don't know.

Quote:"How embarrassing for an intellectual to have to say 'Yeah, I believe that,'" Gohmert said, citing Murphey. "Nobody plus nothing equals everything."

I'm not embarrassed about that. But he's using the wrong operator... it's 'x' not '+'.

I learnt, before I was 10, that two negatives make a positive.

But, of course, it is entirely possible that Satan was my maths teacher.

Dodgy

RE: stupidity in the news
Are they ever going to come out with anything better than that?

Wish I had a quid for how many times I've heard that tired old argument dragged out. And they act as if its something new.

I for one do not claim to know what caused the Big Bang... Or even if the question is relevant. They on the other hand do.

Put up some evidence, or fuck off.
