Perhaps my question was poorly phrased. I was asking how the meaning of the cherubim is not the invention of humans. If that is indeed the question you were answering then you may need to clarify for me because I don't see the relevance.

You see, Your Eminence, (you are a cardinal, I assume), it's a universal tautology.
Ruv is ruv is ruv. All is ruv. He's a "flower child", (from the 60's). Tongue

Actually Childish has been saying for 100 + "umpteen" pages what no one really disagrees with. He has his own (ancient) linguistic way of saying "love is the most important human value". He calls it a "deity". Whatever. It means the same thing. You just need your Dick Tracy decodeer ring, to talk to these old farts.
Saul of Tarsus said it. Many others said the same thing. I also do like Childish's willingness to agree that he doesn't know a lot about a number of things. For some odd reason, he is less obnoxious than many of our theist visitors. A number of months ago, Girly, hoc, and I agreed, that in the end, the Christian mystical position, ("silent before the *loving* 'Cloud of the Unknowing', http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cloud_of_Unknowing ), and atheistic agnosticism, and Eastern (Tao) mysticism are all essentially the same position, practically speaking.

I still get really annoyed with the fundie's lack of knowledge about their roots, but the enlightened religionists, (such as the nuns in the last few years who said they thought they needed to "move beyond Jebus", and beyond the church caused quite the ruckus, and I'm sure will continue to : http://douthat.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/05...od-within/ )
