Do you have a source?

There are several but here is at least 1 good study for you.

The first is correlative between the rate of meat consumption (per day) and dementia. Not that it isn't interesting, but I would like to see an apples-to-apples comparison to a vegan or vegetarian diet.

The second seems to be a case study of malnourished vegan infants.

If you can find a study comparing life outcomes of vegans to peoples of other health diets I would really like to read that as well.

This is a good resource page it lists tons of studies pro and cons and has links to the studies themselves.

Moderation in all things seems to be the best bet. Which is why a black and white stance is inferior to a well rounded one.

How come nobody ever shows compassion for the lives and mutilation of vegetation?

I prefer fantasy, but I have to live in reality.

RE: vegan philosophy
I occasionally threaten my cat with a knife, she seems indifferent, and will sometimes advance toward the sharp. Does this indicate permission to eat her? I ask because I had a dog that would flip out and start barking if I pulled a knife or fork on her.
