what other podcasts do you listen to?
I'm wanting to add to my podcast list and I'm wondering what others enjoy.

Right now I like
Neil DeGrasse Tyson's Star Talk
NPR's Wait, Wait don't tell me.
Scientific American's 60 second Mind- 60 second Science

but some of the other ones on my list seem kind of dry.

what are you listening to?

RE: what other podcasts do you listen to?
The Tipping Forties podcast was my favourite thing going, for its (lamentably brief) run. Dunno if you could even find that one around anymore.

I listened to the entire History of Rome podcast (that one filled two semesters of walking back and forth to campus).

The BBC's In Our Time is always very interesting (and, a plus for me, there's a staggeringly huge archive).

Cognitive Dissonance. In fact, I prefer them over the TTA podcast. I listen to them regularly, whereas I only listen to Seth if the topic sparks my interest.

They're funny as hell, and they're super critical of woo-woo shit from religion to "autism-causing" vaccines and everything in between. I can't wait for their new stuff every week. Thumbsup

Edit: Seth was even a guest on their show recently. Episode 89.

I'm going to take your advise on this one, Misanthro.

Hopefully that wont turn out like last time I took a podcast recommendation...

RE: what other podcasts do you listen to?
Been listening to these two guys (ex-Mormons);

http://www.irreligiosophy.com/

So far I like their style - kind of a back-and-forth banter on various religious/atheist topics.

Also listened to The Atheist Experience (The Austin Atheist group, with Matt Dillahunty and Co.). Lots of debating with callers:

http://atheist-experience.com/

This one is fun: Geeks Without God, three people (two guys, one woman) discuss atheism and geeky stuff like comic books and movies:

http://geekswithoutgod.com/

Also downloaded the Infidel Guy's podcasts (heard one so far):

http://www.skepticalchristian.com/pr_infidelguy.htm

And the Godless Bitches podcasts (haven't got to them yet):

http://godlessbitches.podbean.com/

And the Minnesota Atheist podcasts (ditto):

http://mnatheists.org/news-and-media/podcast/

Also Freethought Radio (not there yet);

http://www.freethoughtradio.com/

And Living After Faith (still waiting for me):

http://livingafterfaith.blogspot.com/

I've also tried one ep of The Good Atheist podcast.

http://www.thegoodatheist.net/

Finally, the Non-Prophets, which features some early work by Matt Dillahunty:

http://www.nonprophetsradio.com/

I also want to get to Startalk and others as well...heck, there are so many that I don't even listen to the radio anymore! But lots of good info - kind of like a whole new world.

RE: what other podcasts do you listen to?
Atheist experience has an audio podcast too.

Penns Sunday school is good, Ask an Atheist is a really good radio show/podcast out of Seattle.

Ardent Atheist is good.

Not strictly atheist stuff I like are Caustic Soda, a comedy trivia podcast.
Skeptics with a K, British skeptical podcast, sorta like Cognitive Dissonance but a bit posh.
I listen to loads since I listen working, not by my computer at the moment.

Humanists of West Florida
GC CoR
P'cola Skeptic in thePub
GC Freethinker

RE: what other podcasts do you listen to?
please share ones that don't have anything to do with atheism too.

I've been trying to listen to "The Stuff" ones. Stuff Mom never told you about, Stuff to blow your mind, etc but they are kinda slow and not very entertaining.

RE: what other podcasts do you listen to?
Well...

I occasionally listen to the Hat Chat podcast (A podcast done by three guys who make up the "Hatfilms" youtube channel. Probably no to every-bodies taste, but yaknow.

i also occasionally listened to the Rooster Teeth podcast (formerly the Drunk Tank, to us brand loyalists), but I have fallen out of that recently.

Both of which have the features of pretty much random content within the podcast, by random I mean there is little set content; hat Chat has restricting sections, where the talk about select topics like "video games" and "hatventures update". Rooster Teeth didn't have that kind of thing last I listened, it was much more the the Skypecast which got started up here; just talk.
