why is being gay considered a life style{no litterally a pansexual asks}
i know that you probably are wondering why I am asking or at least why i believe being gay is not a lifestyle.. the thing is. a life style suggest you had a choice in the matter. as we all know you are born with your sexual orientation... it's the way things are...i know what your thinking... why the pansexual dosen't believe he has a lifestyle. because eating is also not consider as lifestyle. thinking is not considered a lifestyle... a style that someone has denotes they actively choose to live that way.. guess wjat though.... this means christiasnity is a lifestyle... funny that no one thinks of it that way. I mean all the religious people that will not serve you a cake because they don't want to serve you cake should hope that the equal protection act dies not kick in because they will quicfkly not like all the services they will not be able to use...

p.s. what do you think... ty for your time.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

Sexual and romantic orientation can be fluid. Just like any other preference, they can change or develop over time.

I don't really get the "born this way" saying. I agree with the ultimate message that's being conveyed there, but either way, it shouldn't matter to the person who's discriminating against you whether you were "born that way" or not.

Let's even assume for the sake of argument that your orientation is a choice, which it isn't. "Fine" (you say to the religious nut who's discriminating) "Let's call it a 'choice.' Is my 'choice' affecting you in any way? Nope. The only 'effect' it's having on you is the fact that you're aware of it. I'd suggest you just get over it, the same way you got over the news that your neighbor was having an affair, or that your co-workers enjoyed the occasional shellfish dinner while wearing shirts made of wool and linen. Oh, also the last customer you served at your bakery is one of my friends. He likes to masturbate furiously 6 times a day while looking at gay porn, but the only reason you know is because I just told you. Also, you know one of your employees has a second job at a hardware store, but I'll bet you didn't know he works on the Sabbath. Just thought you should know, since you seem to care so much about what everyone else is up to in their spare time while you're not looking. Oh, and just one more thing before I walk out of your bakery: My same-sex partner and I are actually both asexual. We're only romantically attracted to each other. Just thought you might find that interesting. Bye."

If we came from dust, then why is there still dust?

Lifestyle indicates a choice. Funny that you don't hear 'heterosexual lifestyle'.

It's still a used ideas by those who want to discriminate and mitigate homosexuals or transsexual people.

Why it even sprung up to begin with as a term, as in there being some "gay lifestyle" is because of how negatively it was shunned and discouraged there began to be significant underground movements where people could be how they feel comfortable in a community and that's the idea of what the "lifestyle" supposedly still is.

Where does it say in the owners manual that something genetic is good, and something chosen is bad??

It doesn't.

But, there's those people who want to decide for other people what's sexually acceptable, and what isn't -- so they invented the distinction.

The ONLY person that a person's sexual choices and preferences should matter to is themselves, and the person(s) they're with.

The difference between prayer and masturbation - is when a guy is through masturbating - he has something to show for his efforts.
