I'm simply trying to understand what process you are using when you determine what's true and what's not true.
Sure, I will answer your questions.
This is the process:
1)I study what prophets teach. (BTW we have many experts in Scriptures, Hebrew and Greek and other languages in the Church.)
2)I ask God if what they say is true. When God confirms that it is true I accept it. When God answers I am convinced. I am so convinced that I easily can say: " I KNOW it is true!"
So, as you see this process is very simple. And I believe that there is no other way to figure out what is the truth about God and what is not.

Cheers.

Would you be willing to look at your process more closely? You say that you believe there is no other way to figure this out. What if I could show you another way? A way where you could find out a little more. Are you willing to give it a try? Smile

Cheers

The belief in the resurrection requirement dilutes and diminishes the sacrifice to the point of being an inconsequential and insignificant personal opinion instead of universal reconciliation.

I don't have to believe in Christ and in His atonement and in His resurrection to be resurrected. ALL people will be resurrected.
It is unconditional. ALL HUMANS are mortal because of Adam. That is why immortality will be given to ALL HUMANS. Resurrection is FOR ALL.
But if I want to be like Gods I have to work towards this goal. It is NOT free.
It is TRUE principles: if I want to achieve something I have to sweat first. Success is never brought on silver plate.

Success generally doesn't come about when you proclaim to already KNOW the truth before you go around and actually try to apply and seek information.

Then why do you keep asserting that what you know should matter to someone else? Whatever makes you think others give a damn about being like a god or that. I keep bringing this up to you because you keep acting like what you profess to know should matter to others, now if you don't really think that, you sure don't know how to act that doesn't reflect that. And if you do think it, why? What makes you so profound to know what is best for people.. that is precisely the mentality I keep telling you is the worst out of the authority in socialism.

Ooh I think I see the misunderstanding. I was referring to the people Alla Considers prophets Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, John Taylor etc etc.

They we're all born in the beginning on the 1800's. And founded the LDS Church in 1830.

If we went further back to BCE then yeah, I'd be completely wrong.

If your reference was to the 19th century, my apologies.

It's OK, Chas. Keep me in check. If i'm wrong about something I would rather know about it then not. When ever some one calls me out of something I do follow up on what I said and check different sources.

I should have been more clear.

No, it is NOT the definition of the truth.

The answer: facts are the truth.
I CHOOSE to BELIEVE that RESTORED Gospel of Christ is the truth.

Smile But it doesn't mean that I am not working on it. I am not perfect.
I can be the intellectually most lazy person on this forum but I BELIEVE in TRUE principle that if I want to have success I have to earn it.

I respect your position but I do NOT agree with it. I know that success has to be earned.
But you are free to show me examples when success was not earned but was given as a gift on a silver plate. Smile
