I was hoping for an Athens one and it turned out to be the only ugly and not impressive one Dodgy

Most of these are breathtaking and make me want to travel. I actually liked the Athens one, but I've never been there.

I thought the San Francisco picture was the worst. SF is such an interesting city, full of diversity and culture, but they show the plainest view I've ever seen of the city like it's cookie cutter midwest America. Sad

Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

Well, most of them are focused on symmetry and shapes and don't show how beautiful a city might be. Still impressive though.

I saw the pictures as trying to show the character of the area or as things that make them unique. All of them, except the SF shot do this pretty well. Every other picture would be instantly recognizable to someone who is familiar with the city. The SF picture could be any city in any country. There's nothing that screams "SAN FRANCISCO" in that picture.

I guess you're right. I wouldn't be very interested in the city just by looking at that photo. And now that I think about it, the one of Athens is bad, but quite representative. Athens is one ugly city Dodgy

I remember having to sing that annoying song in school. Once it's in your head it takes root and you can't get rid of it.

There's a Facebook page called Earth Porn. If you click like on it you get these kind of pics everyday. They are stunningly beautiful.

Yeah I know... Irritating isn't it.

I mean... What the fuck is "ticky-tacky"?

But that's what started going round in my head while looking at those photos.
